Something is always happening on the blocks around you. A shop opened last month. A contractor two streets over is hiring. A business you pass every day is quietly up for sale. None of it is secret, and all of it is published, but it sits in three different places and nobody reads any of them. This page puts it on one map.
Built by ClarIQ Advisory, a family-run firm that does the monthly numbers for growing businesses: the close, the cash forecast, and a plain-English read of what they mean. This is one of our free tools and it asks nothing of you.

Your location is used to measure distance and never leaves your browser. We do not store it, and there is nothing here to log in to.
Coverage is strongest in New York City, where the city publishes every business licence it issues. Hiring and for-sale pins reach across New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.

Where this comes from, and what it does not know
Everything here was published by the business itself or by a public body. Each entry links to the record it came from, so you can check it rather than take our word for it.
- Just opened. Business licences issued by the City of New York. The city’s file runs a few months behind, and the page prints the date it currently reaches, so a shop that opened last week will not be here yet.
- Hiring. Public job postings, plus careers pages the business publishes itself. Most postings name a town rather than a street, so those pins sit at the centre of a ZIP code and are drawn faded to say so.
- For sale. Public business-for-sale listings. Many are deliberately anonymous to protect the seller, and where the listing withholds the name, so do we.
What is not here: anything we merely guessed. We hold views about which businesses may be near a change of owner, and those stay private, because a guess printed next to a real name is a guess that can do damage.
