My parents came here with nothing and spent about twenty years building it from the ground up. I grew up helping at the store. It was where I learned what running a business actually looks like: long days, constant decisions, and a lot of responsibility resting on one family.
When the store burned down, it was devastating. We did not just lose a business. We lost something my dad had spent years building and something that had been part of my life since I was a kid.
When we opened a new store, I knew I did not want to simply recreate what we had lost. My dad built the original business. Now, I am taking what he started and building something stronger, with better systems, better information, and a clearer plan for the future.
Before starting ClarIQ, I spent years consulting for private equity firms and banks, and working with CFOs, bankers, and investors. I also spent years working in AI, machine learning, and data analytics. Through that work, I saw the level of financial insight, technology, and support available to larger organizations. Most growing businesses never get access to those same resources, even though the decisions they make can be just as important and much more personal.
That is why I started ClarIQ. I wanted to bring what I had learned to businesses like ours and make it practical, useful, and easier to understand. The goal is not to overwhelm owners with reports or jargon. It is to help them understand their numbers, make better decisions, and build businesses that are stronger and better prepared for what comes next.
Our new store is where this work becomes personal for me. I am using ClarIQ to help rebuild my family’s business, carry forward what my dad started, and create its next chapter in my own way. That is also why ClarIQ is family run, and why it will stay that way.
