Privacy Policy

ClarIQ Advisory, a trade name of Nanovation, LLC ("ClarIQ," "we," "us"), provides financial reporting, business acquisition advisory, and AI systems services to growing businesses. This policy explains what information we collect through clariqadvisory.com and in the course of our services, how we use it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the choices you have. If anything here is unclear, email hello@clariqadvisory.com and a person will answer.

Information we collect

• Forms you submit. Our site is hosted on Netlify and uses Netlify Forms for contact requests, assessments, and quizzes. When you submit a form, we receive what you typed: typically your name, email address, company name, and your answers, and for scored tools, the grade or result the tool calculated for you.
• Chat questions. If our AI chat assistant is enabled and you use it, we log the questions you ask so we can improve the site and follow up when you ask us to. When the assistant is enabled, your question text may be processed by a third-party AI provider in order to generate a response. Do not enter confidential financial details into the chat.
• Booking details. Calls are scheduled through Cal.com, a third-party service. Cal.com collects the name, email address, and any notes you enter when booking, under its own privacy policy, and passes the booking details to us.
• Email correspondence. When you email us, we keep the correspondence, including your contact details and anything you share about your business.
• Analytics and device data. We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4), which sets cookies and collects standard usage information: pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, and how you moved through the site. This runs for every visitor, because it is how we tell which pages are useful and which are broken, and it is the one thing the cookie card tells you about rather than asks you about. It is analytics only: we have switched off the settings that would let Google build advertising audiences or personalize ads from your visit, and unless you allow ad measurement, the advertising signals stay off for you as well.
• Advertising measurement. We use the Meta Pixel to measure whether our ads on Facebook and Instagram lead to visits and inquiries. It sets cookies and collects standard usage information. If you type your email address into one of our forms, a scrambled version of it (a one-way hash, not the address itself) may be shared with Meta to improve that measurement. We never share what you typed in plain text. Your answer to the cookie choice governs all of it: unless you allow ad measurement, the pixel never loads, no connection to Facebook is opened, and nothing about your form submission or booked call is sent to Meta from our servers either. Saying no is the default if you never answer, and you can change your answer any time with the Privacy choices link in the footer.
• Client engagement data. If you become a client, we access the records needed to do the work: accounting data, financial records, and, for acquisition engagements, deal documents and target-company financials. We work from read-only access wherever possible, solely to deliver the services you engage us for. We never move money and never alter your ledger. Automation systems we build for you are a separate case by design: they run in your own accounts, under permissions you grant and approval rules you set, and what they may do without a human sign-off is agreed in writing before anything runs.

How we use information

• To respond to your requests, answer your questions, and schedule and hold calls.
• To provide, operate, and improve our services and website, including scoring quizzes and answering chat questions.
• To communicate with you about calls, quotes, and engagements you have asked about.
• To prepare the deliverables you engage us for (dashboards, closes, forecasts, memos, deal analyses, AI system configurations).
• To understand how the site is used so we can make it better.
• To protect the site and our business, and to meet legal, accounting, tax, and security obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use client financial data for advertising of any kind. When you allow ad measurement, we share limited data with Meta (cookies, usage data, and hashed identifiers, as described above), which some privacy laws treat as sharing for advertising purposes. That sharing only happens with your permission: the Privacy choices link in the footer turns it off again at any time, a browser sending a Global Privacy Control signal is treated as a standing no without being asked, and blocking cookies also prevents it. You can email hello@clariqadvisory.com if you would rather we handle it for you.

Our grounds for using it

In plain terms, we use your information for one of three reasons: because you asked us to (you submitted a form, booked a call, used the chat, or engaged our services), because we have a legitimate business interest in running a working website and firm (such as analytics, security, and record keeping), or because the law requires us to keep certain records. Where consent is the right basis, we rely on your consent and you can withdraw it at any time.

Who we share it with

We share information only with the service providers who help us operate, and only what they need to do their job. Each operates under its own privacy and security commitments:

• Netlify, which hosts the site and stores form submissions.
• Google Analytics (GA4), which processes usage and device data for us.
• Meta, which processes ad measurement data for our Facebook and Instagram advertising: cookies, usage data, and hashed identifiers only.
• Cal.com, which handles call scheduling.
• Our AI provider, which processes chat question text to generate answers when the chat assistant is enabled.
• Our email provider, which handles our correspondence.

Beyond service providers, we may disclose information if the law requires it, to protect our legal rights or the safety of others, or as part of a business transfer such as a sale or reorganization of Nanovation, LLC, in which case this policy would continue to apply to the transferred data. We do not sell personal data to anyone.

How long we keep it

We keep personal information for as long as we need it to provide services, maintain our business records, and meet legal and tax obligations, and no longer. Form submissions and correspondence are kept while a request or relationship is active and for a reasonable period afterward. When a client engagement ends, we delete or return client financial data on request, subject to records we are required by law to keep.

How we protect it

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is limited to those who need it to serve you, which in a founder-operated firm is a short list, and client system access can be revoked by you at any time. That said, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. We treat your financial data with the care we would demand for our own, and if a breach ever affects your data we will notify you as required by applicable law.

Your rights and choices

You may request access to, a copy of, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time by emailing hello@clariqadvisory.com. We will verify the request and respond within the time required by applicable law. We will not treat you differently for exercising your rights.

If you live in California or another state with a consumer privacy law, you may have specific statutory rights, such as the right to know what we collect, the right to delete, the right to correct, and the right to opt out of sale or sharing. We do not sell personal data. We do share limited data with Meta for ad measurement, as described above, which some state laws treat as "sharing" for advertising purposes; you can opt out of that at any time by emailing hello@clariqadvisory.com or by blocking cookies in your browser. We honor the other rights on request through the same email.

Our site and services are for businesses and their owners. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, or under 16 where a higher age applies. If you believe a child has provided us information, email us and we will delete it.

Cookies and analytics

The site uses two kinds of cookies. Google Analytics 4 sets analytics cookies to measure traffic and understand how visitors use the pages. The Meta Pixel sets advertising-measurement cookies so we can tell whether our Facebook and Instagram ads led to a visit or an inquiry, as described in the advertising measurement section above. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time; the site will still work. You can also opt out of Google Analytics across all sites with Google's browser add-on, manage ad preferences in your Meta account settings, email us to opt out of ad measurement, or use your browser's private browsing mode.

Global Privacy Control

Some browsers and extensions send the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, which several state privacy laws treat as a valid opt-out of the sale or sharing of personal data. We honor it: when your browser sends the GPC signal, the Meta advertising pixel does not load on this site and no ad-measurement events fire for your visit. Google Analytics, which we use for aggregate site statistics, continues to run. The opt-outs described above are honored regardless of any signal, and we do not sell personal data.

Do Not Track

The older "Do Not Track" browser setting never became a standard, and this site does not change behavior based on it. If you want your opt-out preference honored automatically, use a browser or extension that sends the Global Privacy Control signal, or use the opt-outs described above.

Third-party links and services

Our site links to third-party services such as Cal.com for booking, and pages may load third-party tools such as Google Analytics. Once you leave our site or interact with a third party, their privacy policies govern, not ours. We encourage you to read them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time as our tools or the law change. We will post the new version here with an updated date, and if a change meaningfully reduces your rights we will say so plainly at the top of the page.
