Type in the price. See if the deal survives.

A spreadsheet that runs the same four-number test a lender's underwriter runs: your cash in, the loan, the payment, and whether the business earns enough to cover it with room to spare. Green, amber, or red, with the reason in plain words, and the three stress tests the bank will run anyway. Beat them to it.

Instant download after checkout. Self-serve education, not advice; the fine print inside says so in the same plain English. Not what you expected? Email us within 14 days and we refund it, no forms.

Five steps, five minutes

Enter the asking price, your down payment, the rate, and what the business earns. Every yellow cell is yours; everything else computes itself, including the monthly payment and the cash you personally need.

The verdict, with its reasoning

The coverage ratio lenders read first, scored against the SBA's 1.15x floor and the roughly 1.25x benchmark committees like, then translated: strong, healthy, thin, or below the floor, and what each means for your next move.

The stress test

Price creeps 10% in negotiation. The rate rises 2 points before closing. The seller's earnings prove 15% optimistic. Three one-row scenarios that separate a deal from a hope with paperwork.

Built honest

Every formula is live and inspectable, the sample deal is labeled illustrative, assumptions are on the sheet, and a what-the-numbers-mean tab translates every term. Works in Excel and imports cleanly to Google Sheets.

Questions

The honest answers

Do I need spreadsheet skills?
If you can type numbers into yellow boxes, you are qualified. Everything else calculates itself, and the second tab explains every number in plain English.
Is this a valuation of the business?
No. It answers a narrower, more urgent question: at this price, with this loan, does the math survive? What a business is worth and what you can safely pay are different questions; this nails the second.
Where do the thresholds come from?
The SBA's stated 1.15x coverage floor, the roughly 1.25x benchmark most lenders get comfortable at, and the 1.10x floor that applies to smaller 7(a) loans, current to July 2026 policy. Sources and meanings are on the sheet.
Excel or Google Sheets?
Built in Excel, opens with results already showing, and the formulas are compatible with Google Sheets import. Yellow cells in, verdict out, either way.
